Rice milky cake with seasonal fruits ENG
Ingrédients
Serves 6 people
– 1 cup of pudding rice or short grain rice
– 5 cups of whole milk or 2% milk
– 1 tablespoon of salted butter
– Sugar to taste about 4-5 tablespoons
– 1 vanilla bean cut lengthwise
– 3 apples (red fruits until September, pears and tonka seed in autumn and winter)
– 3 tablespoons of honey
– 6 spéculoos cookies (Graham crackers may be substituted)
Étapes de la recette
In a large pot melt the butter. Then add the rice. Using the back of a knife, scrape out the grains from both sides of the vanilla bean. Add to the rice.
Over medium heat stir rice to carefully coat the grains of rice with butter (2-3 mn).
Add the milk and let simmer without coming to a boil.
Continue cooking for about 45 minutes or until all the milk is absorbed.
Serve in dessert glasses. Top with apples a little honey and crushed speculoos cookies.
